Standalone Discord Integration?

Hopefully this is the right place to post this! I know there’s efforts made towards DnDBeyond integration, which in turn can utilize Avrae bot on Discord, but for a myriad of reasons my table and I are seeking to move away from using DDB (hopefully headed towards Fabled instead, but that’s besides the point). Our games fundamentally exist primarily through Discord, with even our VTT of choice (AlchemyRPG.com , so also not an integration option currently) being a last resort option for where dice are rolled. I’m sure this is an unconventional setup, but also surely it wouldn’t be comparatively as hard to develop a standalone Discord app to sync with Pixels and have rolls output into a text channel? I’m unfortunately not very well versed with Discord app development so I’m not capable of being the change I want to see here, I don’t think–but I also think this might be a really good VTT-neutral integration option for a large number of tables who utilize Discord for in-game voice chat, etc.

It could maybe even open the door for some fun customization, such as having packs of “dice skins”; whenever you roll a certain number, it could post an image of a die that landed on that number, which then could be customized in fun ways or modded to add new skin packs. I really wish I was better at the kind of code required for bot development, because I’d delight in this. But that’s just a pipe dream, I’d be content with just a bot that spits out the roll my Pixels die landed on lmao.

Did you see the blog post How to: Connect Pixels Dice to Discord. A Step-by-Step Guide - Game With Pixels? Perhaps this is all you need?

Unfortunately the blog was migrated without this blog post, the clicks show people are interested in it, so can you repost it somewhere? And also the link to the blog here on the startpage is broken now.

Time to create one guide here
